Impact of Climate Change on the UAE

Climate change due to global warming and its impact are being increasingly observed on different parts of the world in the recent years. Environmentalists are working hard to increase awareness about the climate change threat to humans and the environment. Nevertheless, climate change long-term effects are complex processes which are difficult to mentally simulate and visualize. At University of Dubai, the Remote Sensing Research Group aims to develop a simulation tool to visualize the impact of climate change on the UAE. Sea level rise is one of the prominent effects of climate change, which needs to be studied to better understand its impact. Hence, this research work will focus on simulating different scenarios of seawater rise in the UAE and identify possible mitigation methods to articulate proper and feasible recommendations.
